Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie Emmanuel was a British actress best known for her portrayal of Missandei in HBO's epic fantasy "Game of Thrones" (HBO in 2011-19). Emmanuel was born and lived in Southend-on-the-Sea in Essex's famous seaside town was always interested in performing. Her mother was impressed and her parents began enrolling her in dancing, singing as well as acting classes when she was just 3 years old. Emmanuel developed quickly as a performer, and by the mid-90s, she was playing a young Nala on stage in her role in the West End production of the acclaimed stage musical "The Lion King." When she turned a teenager, Emmanuel began auditioning for the roles in TV and films. In 2007, she was offered her first major role when she was cast as Sasha Valentine in the British soap opera Hollyoaks (Channel 4 1995-). Emmanuel played the character for four seasons. She then quit the series in 2010. Emmanuel got her next break just three years later as she was chosen as Missandei on the HBO show Game of Thrones. She played the interpreter of Daenerys (played by Emilia Clarke). Emmanuel appeared in every season of "Game of Thrones", all the way to the May 2019 series final episode.
